Odfjell Technology reaffirms commitment to the UKCS during Aberdeen event

Odfjell Technology, the integrated supplier of offshore operations, well services technology and engineering solutions, reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to the UKCS in front of an audience in Aberdeen on 4th October.

Around 100 attendees across the energy industry met in the city’s Aberdeen Art Gallery to learn about the journey of Odfjell Technology as it embraces the industry's move towards the energy transition. The invite-only event saw guests enjoy canapes and drinks in the Art Gallery sculpture court, network and create new connections with industry professionals and bodies.

Odfjell Technology has over 2,300 employees in 30 countries with 12 operational bases. It has 50 years of experience serving major operating clients in Norway, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Stuart Sutherland, Country Manager – UK for Odfjell Technology says, “It was a pleasure to address the room last night in one of Aberdeen’s landmark buildings. ‘An Evening with Odfjell’ was designed for attendees to learn more about Odfjell Technology and the chance for us to share our vision, which is to use our heritage and expertise to support the energy transition. Our organisation combines 50 years of industry experience with the technology of tomorrow and we are developing solutions for the changing energy market.”

Stuart continues, “We are proud of our heritage and excited about the future. Oil & gas plays a role in delivering the UK’s commitment to net zero but the industry as a whole is required to support the energy transition. We must attract the next generation of people to carry our core values on for the next fifty years and more. The energy transition is one of today’s greatest challenges and our vision is to use our heritage and expertise to support the industry as it transitions to new energy solutions. We are motivated to grow our operations, Well Services and project and engineering capabilities to ensure our commitment to our people, our clients and to the UKCS.”

In an ongoing commitment to sustainability Simen Lieungh, CEO of Odfjell Technology says, “Sustainability is a priority for Odfjell Technology. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact from our operations and looking after what matters most – our people.”
