Portfolio centrepiece sparks £1.5 million of new work

A leading Belfast and Aberdeen-based corrosion software and inspection specialist company has announced that it has won work worth £1.5 million since the beginning of the year.

The project awards represent a significant stride forward for Surface Corrosion Consultants Ltd and have been spearheaded by a recent development to its portfolio centrepiece, the innovative app Surface Asset Management™ (SAM™️).

During the past six years, the system has established a firm track record of positive disruption in how coating condition surveys and painting campaigns are recorded and managed, with uptake so far proving the importance of innovating and pushing to remain at the forefront of technological advances.

Now, further growth potential in the industry 4.0 era is being realised thanks to the recent contracts taking Surface Corrosion Consultants Ltd into new sectors and geographical territories, namely a nuclear setting in the South West of England and offshore in the Southern and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

Key to the recent awards has been the development of a Degradation Forecasting Module (DFM) which enables better planning and cost efficiencies by forecasting when asset upgrading is required.

Commenting on the recent contract wins, Surface Corrosion Consultants’ Managing Director Sean Truesdale said: “By leveraging excellent client relationships, we have been able to evolve our offering in line with demand thus fostering sustainability and growth into an ever-increasing range of markets.

“This diverse income stream not only demonstrates the versatility and scalability of what we do, but also allows us to look to the future with confidence and optimism.”
