New agreement to drive marine and offshore industry support

Hendrik Veder Group UK will strengthen its load testing offering via the distribution of a greater portfolio of test weights

In a strategic move to become a complete service provider while enhancing the level of support delivered to the crane, marine and offshore industries, lifting solutions specialist Hendrik Veder Group UK has announced a new cooperation with an England-based load test expert.

This new agreement will see the Scottish branch of Hendrik Veder Group UK diversify its output by offering a new regional service for the longstanding firm, via the distribution and leasing of test weights. These test weights will be supplied by engineering solutions provider Test and Lift Engineering Services (Test and Lift).

As the Scottish agent for Test and Lift, Hendrik Veder Group UK will strengthen its load testing offering via the distribution of a greater portfolio of test weights. Utilising the yard space and in-house machinery at its Aberdeen facilities, Hendrik Veder Group UK will now be able to lease out more bespoke, smaller test weights for a greater variation of project needs and opening the door to new opportunities.

Established as a modular solution, Test and Lifts’ test weights – developed via longstanding manufacturing expertise – were designed to be integrated depending on project requirements. These weights also address, and subsequently overcome, many of the health and safety risks commonly associated with their provision such as difficulty to handle, arrange, and secure.

This latest development follows a strengthen relationship between the two businesses and will support key aims on both sides. Via Hendrik Veder Group UK’s network of established operators and varied connections, Test and Lift will now have a more accessible and cost-effective route to distribute solutions across Scotland. Together, both companies will be able to deliver tailormade test weight solutions with short delivery times.

Bertwin Zonneveld, Managing Director of Hendrik Veder Group UK, commented: “This collaboration is the natural next step in the relationship between both companies. Throughout our collaborative history with Test and Lift, we have sought mutually beneficial ways to aid key targets on both sides. This new agreement will evolve our services while opening new regional opportunities for Test and Lift. There has always been a great synergy between both leadership teams, and we have often seen the benefits of working together. Collaboration is critical to improving industry standards and practices. We are proud to drive this from our side."

Andy Clark, Director at Test and Lift Engineering Services, commented: "We are incredibly excited to embark on a new journey in Scotland with Hendrik Veder Group UK. Key to our growth plans, Scotland has always embraced the solutions we provide. Now, with Hendrik Veder Group UK's support and connections, we can increase our scope of support in the industry by strengthening the distribution of our solutions. Operators will now have greater access to a wider choice of test weights to support unique projects. This partnership aligns with aims on both sides and presents exciting growth opportunities."
